Aechmea araneosa displays pale yellow-green leaves lined with small red spines. Its smooth, glossy foliage—often tinged pink on the undersides—forms a wide rosette up to 24 inches across. When in bloom, it produces a bold red bract topped with a panicle of round white berries that maintain their color for months.
