Aechmea rubens is a popular and versatile plant, likely native to Brazil, known for its stunning appearance. This hardy species thrives in a range of light conditions, from almost almost full sun to shade, growing up to 36 inches tall. Its leaves form a tubular rosette, with yellowish-green blades, reaching up to 36 inches long with spiny margins. One of its most striking features is its flowers, which bloom on panicles above the foliage for most of the year, with inflorescences reaching up to 48 inches tall.
