The Neoregelia carcharodon 'Rainbow' is part of the variable Neo. carcharodon species from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, that have emerged recently. Its stiff lime-green leaves are adorned with long black spines, producing an impressive open rosette that can span up to 20 inches wide. The leaves display burgundy spots and markings, turning a reddish hue when exposed to bright light. Additionally, the leaves have black tips, and their color can range from green with brown mottling to reddish, influenced by the intensity of light and other factors. This remarkable and resilient landscape plant can thrive in full or partial sun. Although it retains its green color when grown in the shade, this specimen's lime green foliage is still aesthetically pleasing.
