xNeomea 'Dotty' bears a resemblance to Aechmea recurvata, but it possesses distinct characteristics, particularly in its softer leaves. The leaves display delicate red bands and spots on both sides, with the red intensifying during blooming periods. This variety serves as an excellent choice for terrariums, as it features numerous leaf axils that retain water. 'Dotty' reaches a mature height of approximately 7 inches, making it a compact addition to any collection.
